As time goes by and the fast pace of life takes over, it is easy to forget to do those little things that used to mean so much to your partner in the beginning. It's easy to forget to appreciate the things that he does for you as you start to take each other for granted. Familiarity really can breed contempt! It's so important to keep your relationship going strong.

To stop the rot setting in, regularly remember those things that you loved about him in the beginning and make an effort to keep some of these going. Remember the reasons why you fell in love with this person in the first place. Why not try making a list of all these things to refer back to later on, should the need arise? You could also make a list of the things you discover that he likes about you so you can check back later in the relationship to make sure that you are still doing them.

Make sure that you have a good balance of time together and time spent apart. This is so important to keep your relationship going strong. Share common interests and friends. Plan fun activities with him or have a hobby which you can do together, but make sure you give him space to do "man things" without you. Remember you both need your own space as well as special time together.

Make sure you tell him regularly that you love him. Pay him genuine loving compliments that come from the heart. Praise your partners good qualities and don't forget to say thank you. Bring up any problems early on in a mature adult fashion without blame or attack. Remember that men like to be appreciated, admired and respected. Make sure you appreciate what he does, even the little things and then he won't be able to do enough for you. All this will contribute to a strong, healthy relationship.

Don't forget that men are visual, sexual creatures so continue to make an effort in your appearance and don't let the sex die out of your relationship. Make up any arguments before you go to bed and don't expect him to make you happy; you need to be happy in yourself to be happy in a relationship.

Finally, the way you act around your man seriously affects the way he is with you. If you take this advice, you should find yourself in a happy, lasting relationship. If you need more help to keep your relationship going strong then read on.
